Maui - Hawaii On A Budget

IMG_4392.jpg

During the pandemic Hawaii is allowing tourists in and are welcoming them as well as they survive on the tourism the winter months bring them from the states. Here is our entire itinerary for a weekend in Maui from where we stayed, how we got into Hawaii and what we did.

COVID Requirements:

  1. Hawaii has selected trusted partners they allow their COVID tests and results - be sure if you’re going to Hawaii that you do the research of the trusted partners and where you can get their tests - we personally did walgreens and it was SO easy!

  2. You must have a test 72H before your travel and submit your test results to Hawaii’s website for approval. You will then receive a QR code which you present when you arrive on the island

  3. That’s it! It was quite easy and just took a little bit of pre planning to ensure the tests would be 72H before and in our hands in time.

Accommodations

  1. We suggest visiting an Airbnb while you’re there to save some $$ on your trip.

  2. We also did a hotel “Kanapali Ocean Inn” on our last night and LOVED IT! Would definitely recommend splurging on a hotel for a night or so to enjoy the full Maui experience.

Things To Do:

  1. Road to Hana - Full day (8-10 hours)

  2. Visit all the top beaches in Maui

  3. Hike near Black Sand Beach to the airport runway
